Born from Wings Herbal; an integrative, evidence-based medicine company in Cape Town, South Africa, Wings Veterinary Health was founded upon a deeply invested interest in healing through integrative solutions, and a family’s love for the wellbeing of their animals.
With 25 years of experience in the treatment of clinical human health conditions, Wings Herbal is well respected as a leader in the specialist field of integrative, evidence-based medicine and the science of complementary health.

Meet the Founder
Solara Wing is a positive reinforcement Trainer working with owners and their horses to resolve complex behavioral issues. Having lived on a farm with both her own horses and those of clients, and continuing to work within the equestrian field daily, she has spent many years deeply immersed in the analysis of the underlying causes of various behavioral and physical issues affecting horses.
With Gastric ulcers being a prolific health problem within the equine world, her extensive research led her to the possibility that even well-kept and seemingly healthy horses could be exhibiting uncharacteristically bad behavioral traits due to this underlying condition.
As a result of this discovery through behavioral analysis, EQ-Ulcer; an effective, natural and easy-to-administer treatment for this condition was developed with the assistance of trusted veterinarians and evidence-based clinical trialing.
Toren Wing, Founder of Wings Herbal and father of Solara Wing, provided her with the early foundation and expertise in integrative medicine, which she applied to the development of EQ-Ulcer - the first evidence-based medicine of the Wings Veterinary range to be developed for optimal equine health.
Family Run
Wings Veterinary health is run by the Wing family, who are wholeheartedly committed to the development and distribution of natural, evidence-based medicines for animal health throughout South Africa. This familial purpose comes from the strong desire to take care of their own animals.

Community Impact
Our founder Solara Wing has a large impact at the SPCA
in Grassy park. She originally adopted Lakota as her second horse unexpectedly when he was desperately in need of a home.
She currently assists with equine behavioral difficulties, assisting with management of the equine unit, and providing donations of feed and Wings veterinary products.
