FAQs

What ingredients are used in EQ-Ulcer?

Our Ingredients are a proprietary blend of the highest quality natural herbs  worldwide. All herbs are tested for heavy metals, pesticides, and harmful contaminants. They are organic when available. Our ingredients meet human pharmaceutical standards, and are above food grade quality.

For over 30 years our medicines have been successfully used for treatment of clinical human health conditions. Dogs have been successfully treated with our formulas for 15 years, and we have had 6 years of successful equine treatment.

Our ingredients have been researched by registered veterinarians and are trusted and well-respected in the field.

What is the recommended dosage of EQ-Ulcer?

Treatment dosage: The treatment dosage is 8 grams daily, administered with the scoop provided in the tub and may go straight into the feed, mixed in with water so that it binds to the feed.

Our clinical trials with EQ-Ulcer lasted 3 months. After this time period every horse was successfully healed of gastric ulcers. Therefore, we recommend a period of 3 months daily treatment.

Management and preventative dosage: Management and preventative dosage consists of half of the treatment dosage - 4 grams a day, added straight into the feed.

This is also recommended for horses struggling with general digestive and gut conditions.

Does my horse have stomach ulcers?

The following symptoms and behaviors may be exhibited if gastric ulcers are present:

  • Lethargic, low energy behaviour and resistance to riding.

  • Elusive behaviour with heightened sensitivity to leg pressure when riding.

  • Increased fear and alertness.

  • Extreme reactions such as pinned ears, trying to bite, kick, move around, or throwing their head in the air in response to girth tightening and saddle placement.

  • Displaying defensive and aggressive behavior with other horses and humans in response to simple interactions such as grooming.

  • Incorrect movement with inability to engage their core and lift their back while riding.

  • Food issues; displaying extreme reactions such as pacing, tossing their head up and down, bearing teeth, lunging at humans over the stall door and unusual body language, such as flapping lips or fleming in anticipation of feeding.

  • Slow hoof growth.

  • Dull, dry, curly or yellow-tinged coat.

  • Low nutrient absorption resulting in low weight or muscle mass.

  • Prone to colic.

Does the dosage differ for ponies?

It is recommended that no matter the size of your equine, they receive the same dosage as administered in the clinical trials.
